Re: It's not a bug, it's a feature!
Because it wasn't "soultrap self" it was "any target spell" combined with any "self/touch" effect. It's just that soultrap was such a common spell to make spells with that people thought it was specific to soultrap. Like "soultrap target 10 seconds, fortify long bl...

Re: Latest version video reminded me of something..
I just know this was the first thing I missed when I started playing morrowind for PC (heck, I built my first pc just so I could play modded morrowind--not that I never played PC before, just this was my first computer dedicated to me). Of course I forgot about it until years later when fliggerty's ...

Re: Shield usage like in Oblivion
There's currently a mod to do this. Blocking Enhanced. It required MWE and thus won't be compatible with OMW.

Latest version video reminded me of something..
So, being able to hit the activate button to close the inventory window reminded me of something. In the xbox version of MW, you could press, uh, the black or white button (or some other button, haven't played the xbox version in a while, so you'll have to forgive me since I can't recall the specifi...

Re: I've said it before..
I read the post as "Many open-source efforts of this nature end up failing, especially if the main language is changed after significant development, etc. So, I find it rather impressive that the project has gotten so far and is advancing so nicely towards full functionality. Just wanted to sa...

Re: I've said it before..
This is like saying you expected it to fail until recently. Given how dedicated zini is, its no suprise this project has prospered. /shrug Read it how you will, I'm still glad it's going. It's not like zini started this, I've been following it since it was first announced on the mw forums. edit: be...

I've said it before..
..and here I am saying it again.
I'm amazed that this project has lasted so long and progress is still being made. Keep up the good work, guys.

Re: script life cycle
I used Enchanted Editor almost exclusively. It was much easier than loading up the CS and clunking around in there. I never did anything with it that couldn't be done with the CS though (disregarding editing saves as that wasn't esp/esm manipulation). Obviously this is in regard to scripting, and ba...

Re: MGE, MWSE, Code Patch
I think what MWSE does is simply add variable support for certain functions. Where before you couldnt add in any variables for script functions, MWSE makes it so you can. MWSE also adds some extra functions, like for reading input and other things, IIRC. I'd actually not be surprised if MGE(XE) add...

Re: What determines the FPS in a cell?
I guess they are planning on doing it later on (closer to 1.0) which sounds a bit strange to me but hey, they know what they are doing. "We should forget about small efficiencies, say about 97% of the time: premature optimization is the root of all evil" -- Knuth Premature optimization: C...
