R.I.P. Robin Williams

From The NYTimes Robin Williams, an Academy Award-winning actor and comedian who imbued his performances with wild inventiveness and a kind of manic energy, died on Monday at his home in Marin County, Calif. He was 63. The county sheriff’s office said in a statement that it “suspects the death to be...

Re: Android build openmw

Dang, that's disappointing. I've been lurking and following this with some interest. I can understand where you're coming from though. Thanks for all that you've done so far, sandstranger. :)

Re: OpenMW 0.31.0

If anyone's interested, 0.31.0 is stable so far and very smooth on my machine when built with the following flags and g++ 4.9.1 on Linux. Framerate is lowish still but that's expected: these optimizations apply to CPU-bound tasks and not 3D acceleration. -O3 -maccumulate-outgoing-args -fopenmp -floo...

Re: Unreal Engine 4

^ I never heard of that one before and I played a number of Epic's older games back in the '90s. Jill of the Jungle, [Super] ZZT, Solar Winds, Epic PInball... But Commander Keen beat all of 'em until UT came along, after which I bought and enjoyed the older Unreal also. That was such an amazingly at...

That walking desk is crazy. :D It's good that he stays fit, but I'd rather and do go to a local gym. Linus probably needs to be in front of his big screen even when working out. Can't. Stop. The. Code. Reviewing!

Re: Unreal Engine 4

As someone who loved Unreal and the original Unreal Tournament, I've disliked Epic since the UT3 on Linux fiasco and Epic working with MIcrosoft (Gears of War). I'm cautiously optimistic about the latest happenings. I'll wait and see what happens.

Re: ISPs from around the World

I'm stuck with Comcast unfortunately. I'd love to switch to another ISP, particularly after reading about stuff such as this and this (among a long list of similiar stories) but the only alternatives in my area are undesirable. AT&T DSL is the best of the bunch and I dislike AT&T even more t...

I'll second that. But if optimizations would be better done in OGRE, waiting is fine with me.

Re: Simple praise.

I've followed this project since it began and Nikolay wanted to write it in the D programming language. It's at the point now where it's "mostly playable" and I've become addicted to Morrowind all over again. I can't wait for the last few annoying bugs to be worked out. You're so close! Ku...
