Re: OpenMW Nightly builds
Ah, sorry, I was too distracted at the moment. Let me clarify what I wanted to say: I had settings.cfg with lines like this (I don't have old copy so I can't say for sure what actual lines looked like) viewing distance = 6666666 # Determines how much land is rendered. Add another 6 or 66 to it. and...

Re: OpenMW Nightly builds
Woahhh! It's been a while since I installed a nightly, but for some reason when I enter the game the framerate drops to around 1fps and I can somehow see certain objects through walls? It's very disorienting and unplayable. Did I do something wrong? Can you give a little more info? Which nightly an...

Re: Scripts That Rely On Race, And How To Adjust Them.
Nah that was just a placeholder example. I can't remember what its actually called since I'm not at my computer right now. But I used the race's ID for the script, yes. Do you think thats the issue?

Scripts That Rely On Race, And How To Adjust Them.
Hi everyone. I've been playing around the Construction Set lately (I have everything backed up so I don't care if I break stuff), and I've come across an interesting problem. I'm using a custom race based on the high elf race. It has both visual and stat differences, but "lore-wise" it's t...

Re: Config settings suddenly missing
Super delayed response, but I found settings-default.cfg. It was exactly where you said it should be. Not sure why it wasn't showing up when I searched for it. Anyway, I just copy and paste it into settings.cfg? Do I replace the stuff already in settings.cfg? Or add this stuff to it? Thanks in advan...

Re: Config settings suddenly missing
A guess would be that something happened to put something wrong into the file, and then when the engine was started, it stripped out any lines it thought had errors. You can just copy and paste lines out of settings-default.cfg to get the other settings back. That's the weird thing: I can't find se...

Config settings suddenly missing
I've been playing openmw for a while now without issue, but a few minutes ago something bizarre happened and I don't know why or how to fix it. It seems that somehow, about 20 minutes ago, my settings.cfg file was altered. All I did was close the game and reboot, and suddenly all my settings were re...

Re: Shadows
You need to download the source, use that particular feature branch that is being worked on, compile it from scratch. You can cheat if you use windows and use one of the build artifacts from appveyor. It's not yet merged into master and thus also _not_ in nightlies. I have no idea what any of this ...
