Sure, just wanted to see what everyone thought and make certain.
In reality, not everything is according to the ideal, money is power and sometimes you just can't know what's gonna happen, but my worries are appeased, right now.

Re: Attention, popularity and legal trouble
Well, it looks to me that aim is for OpenMW to be game engine that "just happens" to be able to read Morrowind datafiles, so Bethesda probably couldn't do much, but they could force OpenMW to not be shown using Morrowind datafiles (like it was with android port). Couldn't they also disall...

Attention, popularity and legal trouble
The potential inherent to a project such as OpenMW that actually succeeds and is completed is enormous. As a game and a game engine, I don't think it's unrealistic to assume that it could attain extreme mainstream popularity. It would be able to have far better enhancements to its base systems and a...

Re: Grey out read dialogue topics
Like I said in the other thread, I'm not sure how much of a problem this will even be (for a single dialog response to give different script/function results on different invocations). I think it would be silly to make such responses never gray out just because they contain a script or global var, ...

Re: Space Bar to select multiple items.
Haven't played OpenMW yet, so this might be actually in, but to improve usability and offer mouse alternative, you should also allow in such windows: changing the selected count using the left and right arrow keys (or movement bindings, would probably be more convenient) and even the number keys, so...

Re: followers stuck in areas I got them in
the pack-rat and the merc don't leave mournhold anyway? well that stinks, never did figure out how to access the pack-rat’s inventory when he was there with me, I s'pose it's for the best since he gets lost so easily You're supposed to be able to initiate dialog with the rats. You can tell them to ...

Re: Resting outside is nearly always interrupted
Seeing as it would be used a lot throughout the game, if the random function(s) used aren't completely reliable we would want to switch to better ones. Or, if the original game's RNG isn't too uniform either, then we'd want to use a similar/the same RNG (with same pitfalls/tendencies) to get closer ...

Re: Grey out read dialogue topics
I don't think it will be problematic if you flag by individual dialog responses, and add some special but simple exceptions that make a response never be flagged: - The response contains a script or global var (I think this is possible to do?). Even though this probably almost never happens. No need...

Re: Resting outside is nearly always interrupted
Yeah, the behavior Mesons is getting does not sound like it should happen, unless a mod altering the relevant GMST(s) is loaded. I may be mistaken, though. Additionally, maybe my hunch is wrong and the rate does depend on the area / local levelled list... Just tested outside Seyda Neen in original e...

Re: followers stuck in areas I got them in
Don't know what that comment in the UESP is about. Maybe it means the normal getting stuck of the AI, or is otherwise a relic of an unpatched Morrowind version or an obscure issue. Testing them in Morrowind, I'm actually surprised how well the trained scribs and rats follow me. They do not have any ...
