Re: Proposal for getting this project done

Ok so you only need a pretty island to showcase engine stuff. Any lists of what those engine features are that should be showcased? Only visual features like normal maps? I would add them anyways, at best make PBR materials if OpenMW supported those. I guess its best for me to scribble something and...

Re: Proposal for getting this project done

Gameplay is still a higher priority over asset creation, ... What gameplay are you guys even thinking about? A 1:1 Morrowind copy in regards to gameplay? I guess you plan on sticking to Morrowind gameplay, but whats the goal? An island with backstory, quests, mainquest and stuff, so a proper little...

Re: Vivec retexture to show off/test shaders

Oh sorry I didnt read much, thought you didnt understand the basics of specular maps.
It sure doesnt hurt to practice with it and your textures look nice so far!

@Biboran @Atahualpa
Thanks! I am making random models from time to time, just for the fun and practice.

Re: Vivec retexture to show off/test shaders

Is it just me or does everything look kind of shiny like it's wet? Might not be just you! It's the specular maps. They are really hard to get right, cause either you get no shinyness or you get too much. I would like to have just a tiny tiny bit on the walls (I guess it's the walls that look too we...

Well then ignore my posts. I am a bit over exited atm. I guess 'you guys' will talk once Hrnchamd is done.
Thanks for the link.

Re: PBR - Physics Based Rendering

In the title you can find the translation for PBR ;) Yeah dont know who does what or what youre plans are, just thought I drop this here. In the end you guys decide but it would indeed be very very nice if both engines would support the same features and stuff could be exchanged without adjustments....

PBR - Physics Based Rendering

Hrnchamd, coding god over at Bethesda forums, recently implemented PBR support into MGEXE. Even the early and not very poslished results are mindblowing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBZWejnkB04&feature=youtu.be Just want to let you guys know about this, before you put lots of work into bring...

Texture shaders for OSG build?

Hey guys, just curious about when you planned to implement normal maps, speculars, reflection maps and all that good stuff to the OpenMW OSG build? Is it planned before 1.0 or after? I have some models ready to showcase those effects if wanted: https://sketchfab.com/peterbitt (edit: also have normal...
