Re: Morrowind May Modathon Month 2018
condescending and confusing perspective ? oh sorry it was not intended. I gathered those few numbers to give an idea of the following. Communities emerge, grow and inevitably decay over time. So to see an initiative like this, 16 years after launch, giving birth to more mods in a month than new PRs...

Morrowind May Modathon Month 2018
After talking to psi some he suggested I post this here: Morrowind May Modathon Month 2018 - Celebrating 16 Years of Morrowind! Twice a year the Morrowind community has modding competitions. The Morrowind May Modathon is a celebration of Morrowind's birthday, where modders come together to collabora...

Re: MWSE, Lua and OpenMW compatibility
I provided a real-world example of how native extensions improved the capability of a professional game engine, while keeping the main code clean. You can disagree with the example all you want, it's not exactly hard to fathom other ones. The point should still be clear. TES modders in general do lo...

Re: MWSE, Lua and OpenMW compatibility
You can make a cross-platform dynamic library that loads in as a lua module. Keyword being "can". What's stopping someone from depending on a library that isn't supported by all platforms, or even one that is supported but the modder doesn't bother to track down the library on all support...

Re: MWSE, Lua and OpenMW compatibility
Let's put the security issue aside for a moment and focus on what you seem to be avoiding, Null, and tell me how am I supposed to run an .omwaddon that comes with a dll. OpenMW promoting single-platform mods is essentially failing at its stated goal of being multiplatform and makes second class cit...

Re: help me fix this, mod author is hostile towards openmw.....
I've talked to him before a few times. I don't think he's hostile, he just recognizes there are major bugs in OpenMW still and that his mod doesn't work perfectly in OpenMW. In general the attitude towards OpenMW has grown increasingly negative. I don't think that's all OpenMW's fault, though I know...

Re: OpenMW 0.44.0
@NullCascade: is your freezing problem still there in 0.44? Yes, though I conveniently can't reproduce it when I build the project myself, which makes it super awesome to try to debug. Fuck... I hate heisenbugs. Might there be a difference between debug, release and relwithdebinfo builds? Things to...
