Re: OpenMW 0.47.0
Decided to experiment with another type of video that can help advertise, for lack of a better word, the project. A short demonstration of the third person features in 0.47. simple and quick to make. Video is unlisted in case anyone has any suggestions or criticisms or if you want to put it on the ...

Re: OpenMW 0.47.0
I made a short showcase video for 0.47. Similar to the last one I made for 0.46 a couple years ago if anyone remembers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yj6jK6TuCCI Hm, I like that video. :) It takes a completely different approach than our official release commentaries but it demonstrates the (grap...

Re: OpenMW 0.47.0
From the activity on gitlab it looks like 0.47 is nearing release? If that's the case, are there any plans to start working on release commentary videos? Work on the videos has already started and is currently in the planning stage (issue selection, scene concepts, script writing, etc.). I intend t...

Re: Translation Management and Community
For the record, here's the corresponding section from Zini's post-1.0 design document.
(Note that the document itself is (at least partially) outdated, so take everything written there with a grain of salt.)

Re: Faction Requirements Not Met
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like we treat the primary skill as one of the two other required skills: See /apps/openmw/mwmechanics/npcstats.cpp, lines 387ff ; the error is in line 418 . bool MWMechanics::NpcStats::hasSkillsForRank (const std::string& factionId, int rank) const { // [......

Re: recommendations for fast mod testing?
Start the OpenMW launcher, select the "Advanced" tab and scroll down to the "Testing" panel. Choose to skip the menu and character generation and attach a script to be run after the game has started. (E.g., containing the commands you listed in your post.)
I hope that helps.

Re: OpenMW doesn't think Better Balance Combat is in the right load order?
From what I can guess, you need to adjust the load order in OpenMW's launcher. Simply drag and drop the files where you need them.
(The load order in OpenMW is completely independent from the load order you chose for the vanilla engine.)

I've never tried to "install" MGSO on OpenMW - could work, could lead to problems...
