Thank you for the kind words. OpenMW is indeed amazing and has allowed us to put together Elder Scrolls multiplayer that lacks the flaws of previous attempts.
All that remains now is synchronizing a few more important systems, and then you can really play through Morrowind properly with your friend.

Re: A developer overview of tes3mp's status, goals & challen
That's why I suggested to examine the quest situation. Right now we don't know how bad the situation is. And regular single player bugs are no indication for multiplayer problems. That is just Bethesda being derpy. Of course these are all long term prospects; probably best put on hold until the gre...

Re: A developer overview of tes3mp's status, goals & challen
Correct. But that is a more general problem and not exclusive to the party splitting up. You could have one character talk to a NPC to move a quest ahead and another character push a button a few steps away, which will also move the quest ahead; which would break the quest, if both are not supposed...

Re: A developer overview of tes3mp's status, goals & challen
The limitations you describe are more restrictive than what I had imagined. There is no fundamental reason why talking to NPCs would be limited to one player; as long as the NPCs see all the players as a single player. It might also be useful to have an option to echo dialogues to other players nea...

Re: A developer overview of tes3mp's status, goals & challen
Thank you for posting that, Zini. It's nice to already have a discussion going on about so many topics. My main concern is still the same. Dealing with MP at this stage in any way will eat man power that we need for other parts of OpenMW. Or rather it may be that we simple do not have the man power ...

Re: A developer overview of tes3mp's status, goals & challen
Thank you. It's great to receive such a warm welcome. This does not mean that OpenMW is committed to tes3mp as "the" MP solution for OpenMW, but if our goals and ideas behind MP align then it would be beneficial to have both projects in one place. :) I understand completely. I'll do my bes...

Re: A developer overview of tes3mp's status, goals & challen
Wow, awsome! There will be possible to create you own LAN private server to play with friends? :D It will have options to co-op game, like where if one does quest, same quest will be done for other player? Creating your own LAN private server is already possible. As for quests, we'll have a server ...

A developer overview of tes3mp's status, goals & challenges
Note: This post is out of date. You should read it mostly if you want to know what my thoughts were back in February of 2017. Hello there, OpenMW forums. At the behest of psi29a, and with the approval of the OpenMW leadership, a new subforum has been created for tes3mp. I wish to extend my gratitud...

Re: A request for support rebasing TES3MP against OpenMW
You didn't misread. I think multiple clients are the way to go. I'm not entirely sure whether the multiplayer is heading towards a coop or an mmo style of game-play. The amount of divergence is dependent on that to some degree. However, I do know that massive changes will be required to make a sing...
