Re: Ogre 2.0 RC1 posted
There are times when the OpenMW forum is a bit more interesting than it normally is. It is always interesting, but sometimes, there's just more interesting stuff to read about. I'm thinking for example when Chris implemented the animations, when scrawl (?) implemented the AI and combat and so on. TH...

Wow, this was unexpected. But it's great to hear anyway. I think many would have felt too lazy to change the graphics engine at this point, but hearing that you're prepared to do that gives me hope that you guys have lots of motivation to make this engine as kickass as possible.

Re: Renaming tools
We call the project OpenMW instead of OpenMorrowind for two reasons; first to stay out of legal trouble, but second because the engine has higher aspirations than Morrowind itself. Perhaps in the future MW will not mean Morrowind to us, but Moddable World. So openmw-cs would be very suitable in tha...

That's exactly what I was trying to say with my previous post, but less messy. Thanks.sylux102 wrote:The more likely explanation is that they used proprietary software from other companies and if it was shown on mobile they'd have to pay money to the middleman that made the displayed content.

Re: Alpha blending problem
Hmm. Still beats me why Bethesda is so butt hurt about it. But I'm going to shut up now, I'm kinda hijacking this thread. Sorry Haha, yes. But I feel your frustration. So I'll continue this off topic discussion for one last post. ;) There could be numerous reasons for Bethesda's nervousness about t...

Read these e-mails. As said, Bethesda could potentially give the OpenMW team a really really hard time. The wisest thing would IMO be to not stretch too far from what was agreed upon in those e-mails.
