Re: Cell preloading
I just took a look at the comments on the Silt Strider mod and found this: On OpenMW (both 0.36 and 0.37-git) the silt strider is not visible when choosing scenic travel (the character itself is moving forward at the proper height from the ground). Is this a known problem and, if so, how could I fix...

Re: Cell preloading
I'm thinking about preloading fast travel destinations as well, though of course the downside is we don't know the travel destination the player will pick, so would have to load all of them preemptively. Just my two cents, and I may be the only one who will ever think this, but I've always thought ...

Re: Idea for openmw launcher load order functionality
I added the instructions to the Mod Installation page. It would be nice if
1. someone who doesn't know how to install mods
2. someone who knows how OpenMW does mod loading
would check what I added for correctness and whether the instructions are clear and followable.

Re: Idea for openmw launcher load order functionality
I gave you step-by-step instructions and all you had to say that they were not sufficient. I cannot clarify without you specifying what is missing. So, once again: 0) The Mod folder must satisfy a few conditions: Any ESPs must be in the toplevel of said folder. The same goes for folders which would...

Re: Manual & Icons
We are getting dangerously deep into nitpicking territory here with the question what a tutorial is. OpenMW is a pretty complex program, isn't it? How many people will have the time to read a manual for it front-to-back and why should they bother if they're only going to use half its functionality ...

Re: Manual & Icons
... OK, I have updated it with your suggestions. I have also changed the two/three tutorial chapters into one chapter called "tour" with two/three sections. That should make it clear that the tutorials are only an introduction. ... Navigation should be no problem, you can do document-inte...

Re: Manual & Icons
For OpenMW-CS the idea was to have both a manual (in book form) and a collection of tutorials (either wiki articles or YouTube videos or both). I think for a manual/reference a wiki would be more appropriate. Take a look at the Common Lisp HyperSpec . It's easy to navigate and thus usable as a refe...
