Re: Memory usage
Not technically a memory leak, it just keeps all the loaded resources around. Eventually all the resources will be loaded and it won't grow in size any more... there are tons of other things to deal with at the moment. While this is important for a 1.0, it shouldn't hinder development of other thing...

Re: Readme & FAQ Suggestion
Then what would you write? So we can steal it and put it in the readme.

"Not our problem." <-- Because it isn't, that is between the modder and bethesda.

Re: Getting OpenMW into Debian and Ubuntu.
Are we still using the Daedric font or something else? The Debian folks noted that the font is non-free. What exactly are we using now that is GPLv3 compatible?

Re: Readme & FAQ Suggestion
The no-selling rule came about because of a clause in the vanilla CS's EULA, which says that anything you create in it belongs to Bethesda. But if you do not use the vanilla CS to create the content, its EULA has no say in it. Even that is dubious and will likely be laughed out of court. Just becau...

Re: Readme & FAQ Suggestion
How about selling? Does this mean a modder can sell their OpenCS created mod? If so, how does this not contradict Bethesda's licensing? Not our problem. That is between the modder and bethesda. Can someone cite bethesda's licence with regard to mods? As far as I am aware, all mods are the property ...

Re: Readme & FAQ Suggestion
I see this as solving itself. OpenMW is GPLv3 and looks to be that way for a long time to come. We should probably have an explanation stating what this means for users, modders and developers. For users, nothing changes. For modders, their mods are their property to license it as they wish. For dev...

I can confirm that Linux builds do not have this issue.Greendogo wrote:I think it was only in Win32 and Win64 builds; I don't think any Linux users have reported the problem.

Re: Getting OpenMW into Debian and Ubuntu.
What I'm reading leads me to believe that getting OpenMW into Main of Debian will be at best post 1.0 for the time being? It is highly recommended for OpenMW (in Main) to be playable "out-of-the-box" with Free content. OpenMW, as it is now, can live in Contrib in Debian which would get us ...

Re: Getting OpenMW into Debian and Ubuntu.
Then why are we forced to run the Morrowind.ini importer before being able to run OpenMW? If we do not do that... OpenMW dies a horrible death.Zini wrote:We are not forcing the import of MW in any way. Not sure why you would think we do that (or plan to do that).
