Re: OpenMW Template art
That is awesome. Glad to see that there is work on original art for openmw. Keep up the good work. ST Thanks! There's still work to be done, but the end is finally in sight with the animations. Re: OpenMW Template art
Been working on the bird creature these past months and it's finally taking some proper form. The model is done, the texture is almost done and I'm starting to work on the animations. More progress is visible here https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/example-suite/-/merge_requests/9 https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/e...

Re: Base Animation Dissected
Hello there! I'm new to the forums. I work on a little standalone thing and I decided to write a short (9 page) doc on the structure of the original Morrowind base_anim, focusing on the armature, geometry and the nodes, as well as the findings from my own experiments with OpenMW that use more of th...

Re: OpenMW Template art
So someone would have to make an animation from scratch that looked just like it or close to it? Does OpenMW allow for better animation support, at least at the v1.0.0 mark? For the Template / Example Suite, that is exactly the plan. It's just real life (work) getting in the way these days, hence s...

Re: OpenMW Template art
CC0 is basically legalese explaining the concept of public domain. If you release something in France as public domain, for example, and then die, your estate can then claim that because that's not a real licence, it's actually all-rights-reserved, and then sue anyone using your stuff for copyright...

Re: OpenMW Template art
We should apply a CC0 license, since in some jurisdictions, the concept of public domain does not exist. So CC0 makes the most sense. I thought CC0 and public domain are one and the same. One learns something new every day  But yeah, all assets apart from the font and UI xml files are CC0 as ...

Re: OpenMW Template art
Very nice, an up to date animation reference will be invaluable. It's one of the most daunting things to do for new modders. Indeed! Have to plug those documentation holes. On the topic of animations. If your'e interested, Greatness7 actually made a blender plugin to port these animations in from h...

Re: OpenMW Template art
I've started working on the next stage of the Template / Example Suite. It's a smaller bird-like biped that will help me test and document the workflow for creating animated creatures / enemies. The model so far is just for figuring out the proportions and will have its topology joined later. https:...

The Windows build and Linux builds now have the necessary libs and use the right revisions.
