Re: Newbie here going into Morrowind for the first time, any suggestions/advice/ whatever else for me?

I’m a newbie myself and am inclined to go all out on modding for my first go. Oh yeah, if anyone doesn't want to moderate thiings for a first run, that's totally fair. I mean, I just gave the advice of not making a pure mage for a first run, but you know what I did on mine? High Elf with Apprentice...

Re: Newbie here going into Morrowind for the first time, any suggestions/advice/ whatever else for me?

My tips would be -- agility is well known to increase hit chance with weapons, but keep in mind also that willpower increases your chance of successfully casting spells. I second the advice to save, save, save. Patch for Purists is highly recommended, since it only fixes bugs, unlike previous patch ...

Re: Morrowind “Oral History”

Honestly, I'd say the major problems and PR disasters with FO76 are less the bugs, and more things like sending people nylon bags when they promised canvas ones. And how apparently pathetic the design is. And not all of us are unconcerned about bugs that don't hose us in particular. I was pretty dam...

Re: [QUESTION] Mod Guide

Bandits cheerfully greeting me walking into their cave hideout isn't what I signed up for when I installed a levelling mod. I love the idea. The fact that everything wants to murder you in the morrowind with total disregard for it's own life is just stupid. Now I would just want a way to convince t...

Re: [QUESTION] Mod Guide

I actually quite like vanilla Morrowind combat, so I have no idea which of the always-hit mods would be preferred. My main gripe with it is that there are no dodge animations to give actual visual feedback when you miss. I'd love to make a mod that has enemies you miss duck back and to the side for ...

Re: Sotha Sil Expanded

'else if' operator no longer breaks compilation and stuff after else is simply ignored like in vanilla, so the pipe fall script and interiors of illusion script will finally just work. So the three compatibility issues I'm aware of that are left and should be resolved are these: 1. Stray quote mark...

Re: Config/Launcher discussion (or: One guy wants some things)

Since this has seen renewed discussion, I'll contribute my two cents -- as a mod user, albeit an advanced mod user hoping to eventually become a mod maker, I would vastly prefer separating content from resources. A way to set the order of folder loads in a GUI in much the same way as rearranging plu...

Re: Changing Character Appearance

That's... utterly horrid! It also doesn't make sense... resetting stats and wiping spells seems like something that one has to go out of their way to implement. Why can't appearance simply... not affect anything? At least after the character was already created? Because setting up your char...

Re: Changing Character Appearance

Just for the record, there's a far, far worse problem than reseting your attributes and skills -- showracemenu also wipes your spell list. So custom spells are just gone and need to be made again, base spells need to be bought again, and abilities given as quest rewards, such as Almalexia's rewards ...

Re: Lysol's normal mapped texture packs

So, a question to you all. Parallax maps or no parallax maps for the imperial forts? https://imgur.com/a/O6AkPSf I feel the realistic thing would really be "no parallax", since the texture does look like the stones are very square shaped and thus wouldn't really leave that much round edges left to ...
