Re: Worst Race in morrowind?

Well, Imperials are bland as hell, so I might go with that. I also wouldn't play an Argonian or Khajiit in vanilla Morrowind, though, because of the annoying restrictions on boots and helmets. Thank goodness for mods that allow them to be adapted for beast races. Vanilla Bosmer racials also suck, bu...

It's almost like making a video isn't a trivial task. ;)
Hey, wasn't much of a problem last time when all the various dailies were working adequately, and this time I could always grab the Linux RC branch. It's mostly about the publicity anyway I'd say.

Re: MWSE scripting functions

Unfortunately some of the error-reporting is a bit too enthusiastic - empty spell names probably don't deserve such prominence for example. Also there are so many errors and warnings from the base game esms that they tend to drown out the ones from the mod you are testing. The base game esms really...

Re: MWSE scripting functions

whereas the original system wouldn't require this and would just guess the intended behaviour based on what colour socks the author was wearing that day, but spit out no warnings. Haha, quoted for truth! I just can't understand why so many on reddit and the like are always going "you need to know t...

Re: Auto-Update Feature

Would this work? https://winsparkle.org/ This is based on Sparkle for macOS . Not sure if there is a Linux equivalent. The Linux equivalent for auto-updating would be whatever package manager your distro uses. Just need to put the packages into the relevant repository. I just hope the Ubuntu daily ...

Re: MWSE scripting functions

OpenMW is likely to provide its own script extensions, which will be far more powerful and useful than MWSE but won't be compatible. MWSE mostly just adds ways to access functions that already exist in the original Morrowind executable from the scripting system, but in OpenMW, these don't necessari...

MWSE scripting functions

Would this be really hard to do or otherwise complicate maintaining the code too much? Because there are a bunch of MWSE-using mods out there, and getting to be more all the time, that I and others really want to use. I'm on Linux, so I'm kinda stuck with OpenMW unless I want to screw around with a ...

Re: MCP-like menu

Why in the launcher and not in game menu? Why the launcher? Because it can be implemented sooner and more easily, I should say. Getting it in the in-game menu should probably be the long-term goal, but for now, I'd rather see it implemented sooner rather than later. Dunno about anyone else, but mak...

Re: Bringing back drain-intelligence glitch

Beyond making the case that the definition of exploit should include purely beneficial bugs, I think there is something else that makes Drain Int an exploit rather than simply a bug. To me, a bug is caused by faulty code, whereas an exploit is caused by forgetting to close a loophole. I would argue ...

Re: Bringing back drain-intelligence glitch

looting summoned creatures is not a bug its an exploit. restoring magicka by draining intelligence is a bug. you could find out why yourself. Two issues with this. Number one is that it is not a bug to have changes in int leave you with the same percentage of magicka. Number two, I really don't car...
