Re: New Door & Wood Grain Column Textures: Comments & Critiq
Thanks for the feedback. I think the shininess is related to using a normal map and settings.cfg set to [Shaders] auto use object normal maps = true auto use terrain normal maps = true auto use object specular maps = true auto use terrain specular maps = true force shaders = false clamp lighting = f...

Re: Texture mapping attempts and misadventures.
I was going to suggest Insane Bump plugin for GIMP, as well. Also, I've gotten good results using Awesome Bump. https://github.com/kmkolasinski/AwesomeBump/releases You might also want to look at ML Bevel Reflect. http://gimpscripts.com/2014/01/ml-bevel-reflect/ And last, but not least, Tutorial On ...

Re: Many Pink Textures
Afaik, nVidia drivers support texture compression directly, without the need for additional drivers.. Yes, but from what I have heard the linux Nvidia drivers may be a little... wonky. Linux provides open source Noveau drivers for nVidia but they wouldn't contain patented code. I don't use those, a...

Re: Many Pink Textures
Afaik, nVidia drivers support texture compression directly, without the need for additional drivers.. You mentioned that you see pink textures if they are missing. I've had this issue, as well, recently with a sword mod where the textures/meshes needed to be in specific folders. You can check your o...

Re: Strange Graphics Anomaly With OpenMW & Intel Graphics

System Specs: Intel Core i5 4460S, 64 bit Quad-Core Processor, 8GB Ram, 1 TB HDD, Intel HD Graphics 4600 Fedora 23 64bit OpenMW 0.41.0 (compiled from official 0.41.0 sour...

Re: Strange Graphics Anomaly With OpenMW & Intel Graphics
I don't have the specifics at the moment. One system belongs to an online friend and I'm away from the other system. I have a working theory I gleaned from an older thread here. Perhaps the issue is related to texture compression libs: libtxc_dxtn , which were not installed. Those libs have now been...

Strange Graphics Anomaly With OpenMW & Intel Graphics
I was able to confirm this anomaly occurs on OpenMW 0.41 with no mods installed. Tested on two different Linux rigs /w Intel i5 CPU integrated graphics. In many instances, snow textures are replaced with other strange looking textures when teleporting into a snow storm or a blizzard. grayboxes.jpg I...

Re: OpenMW-CS Jumping In Orbital Mode
When I select Orbital View, seems like it's just returning back to the last position it was in when leaving Orbital View. Is that the way it's supposed to be?
