Re: [WIP] The Forgotten Release Commentaries

Looks good to me. Skimming through the transcript, the main issue I have is inconsistent spelling, between UK and US (e.g. modelling/modeling around lines 36 and 39). Which version are you aiming for? Then I will re-check against appropriate dictionary. Won't need any re-recording, but will change t...

Re: OpenMW-PyLauncher - a mod indexer/manager written in pyt

Adding bsa files would seem to be a useful extension.

Re: Change the numbering convention for the next release

The projects Main Page should be shouting something like: Main quest is 100% playable Tribunal and Bloodmoon are 100% playable All guild and temple quests are 100% playable Alll your favorite mods like XXXXX and YYYYY are 100% playable Advanced features like cell preloading and shaders are WIP (25%...

Re: [WIP] The Forgotten Release Commentaries

A few suggestions from a quick proofread of the text: Line 2: releaseof -> release of Line 2: "It does not only bring ..." suggest "It not only brings ..." Line 3: whooping -> whopping Line 14: "Our project is often mistaken to be ..." suggest "Our project is often mistakenly thought to be ..." Line...

Re: a simple mod that doesn't work

In the same vain, how can I contact people who are testing out mods for OpenMW? I want to help. The wiki's mod status page is probably the best place to start - https://wiki.openmw.org/index.php?title=Mod_status Just pick a mod that hasn't been reported, test it, and add the results to the wiki. Or...

Re: Game Creation

I believe that is the main long-term aim of the project - providing a game engine on which users can build their own game. Running Morrowind successfully on OpenMW is merely a short-term target, and removing all the Bethesda content is desirable to avoid licence restrictions. See the "OpenMW Game Te...

Re: OpenMW Game Template

I don't want to discourage the excellent work you are both doing, but it might be worth taking a moment to consider the scope of the Template project. Where should the Template end, and where should the Example Suite begin? In the initial post in this thread three areas were listed as immediate targ...

Re: OpenMW Game Template

I do wonder though why it worked for Loriel. Loriel, did you have the fallback BSAs included? Did you see stars in the sky? Probably superseded by later posts, but: First attempt placed me in some Morrowind scenery. I therefore commented out the three bsas from the content entries in the config - M...

Re: OpenMW Game Template

Appears to work correctly for me, using the OSG branch 0.36, on Windows 8.1.

New starts a new game, with no errors, though little to see or do - which I presume is the intention.
