Re: NPC Jumping - How would someone do that?

Looking at the RecastDemo, it turns out that RecastNavigation supports something called Off-Mesh Links. They are essentially arches that connect meshes or bypass holes in a mesh. I am not sure if there is a way to generate them automatically in the library or not, but I suspect they will play centra...

Re: NPC Jumping - How would someone do that?

This is a really complicated subject and seems like it's going to be hard to fix after testing in-game a lot. Also, as you touched on with the lava there is some overlap here with AI behavior. Some problems: 1-way paths: If NPCs could drop anywhere there is a small ledge they would regularly trap th...

Re: Shadows

Very interesting, I had no idea that it was related to GPU wait times. Thank you!

Re: Shadows

Thank you for your illustration AnyOldName. I also had a question about shadows. I've noticed that shadow resolution has almost no discernible effect on performance in OpenMW, while this is usually one of the most performance intensive settings to raise in other games. Why is this?

Re: XL Engine source code release!

How do you set your Daggerfall directory? I am just throwing the executables in my ARENA2 folder and it launches, but it segfaults randomly and I'm getting complaints about various items within BLOCKS.BSA. Also, is mouselook working for you guys? Edit: Nevermind. I see you need to create a DaggerXL....

Re: Post 1.0 Planning Update

TES3MP also has a planned automatic mod synchronization and download feature. How could such a feature be implemented safely with an unsafe scripting engine? I know this might not be appropriate to discuss here, but it could be something worth thinking about for people on the laxer scripting rules s...

Re: Help running on Mac via Winery/Wineskin

That should be fine. Are you able to find the menu being described here somewhere in Wineskin? Winetricks is already built into Wineskin. Just run Wineskin.app and go to Advanced, and on the Tools tab is a Winetricks button, with a full GUI front end to use Winetricks. If you are, you just need to i...

Re: Where is OPENMW_PHYSICS_FPS located?

If you're on Windows 10: Right-click "This Computer" -> Properties -> Advanced System Settings -> Advanced Tab -> Environment Variables -> Click "New" under "User variables for USERNAME" -> Enter "OPENMW_PHYSICS_FPS" for your variable name and then enter the desired FPS for your value. There are scr...

TES3MP has native linux binaries, mind you.
I know, I just wanted to see if I could recreate the same problem. It turns out that it is easily fixable and ItsaZoo should be able to run TES3MP on his Mac barring any other issues.

Hope he comes back, but it seems like he may have given up.

Re: Help running on Mac via Winery/Wineskin

Good news, I was able to get it to work in Linux and connect to servers and it runs very well. This seems to be a Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable problem. I used Wine version 3.2 and had my distro's package "Mono-Complete" installed. To see if you have Mono installed, go to your equivalent to ~...
