@psi29a and @ezze You can turn off JIT compiling and create a binary directly. We do that for real-time / performance reasons at my company. One big difference is the lack of interactive interpreters for Java. Java can't run arbitrary lines of code (I'm sure you can find an example where I'm wrong)....
