Re: The best from Skyrim to morrowind
A higher poly terrain mesh wouldn't be very useful without a landmass overhaul mod. The mesh density will have to remain that of the data files, unless you perform some fancy interpolation. Use procedural generation (fBm,noise) to add a bit 'salt' to the current landmass. This would generate a high...

Re: The best from Skyrim to morrowind
I could have sworn I read somewhere that there was/were someone/some people that offered to create animations if a better system was developed, so I'm not too sure that's too big an issue. What I really want that not many people seem to notice is higher poly terrain mesh. Even if we were to replace ...

Re: Save load gui
Why not just have the launcher remember the last character you selected and display it's sub category the next time you launch it? It would help those who only play one character at a time, while still allowing people with multiple characters to choose from the list if they wish.

Re: [editor]Feature Requests
Why is OpenCS a problem? It's short, sweet, to the point. Basically, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Weather Effects on Screen
This is obviously meant for post-1.0, but I thought I'd ask this in case it inspires someone. Would it be possible to create screen effects that react to the weather? Like blurry water droplets accumulating on the screen if you look up while raining, or blurry dust particles if you look directly at ...

Re: Nehrim and OpenMW
There are limits on the height variations within a single cell. But I am not aware of any global limit in OpenMW. If there are, we will fix that eventually. This piqued my interest. You're saying that, although there will be an in-cell limit where there can't be too much of a height difference, the...

Re: Icons: Visiual Metaphors
How about an open box and (if this much info can be fit in that size icon) tiny assorted things sticking out of it, like the tip of a sword, some other thing, not sure.

Re: Icons: Visiual Metaphors
Not sure why the icons are an issue. As long as what they represent is explained in some for of documentation/readme, people can learn to associate the new icon with its new use, so it shouldn't really matter if it's a funnel or a platypus.

Re: [post-1.0] Scripting enhancemnts
I'm know little to nothing in regards to scripting, but I would like to add in my two cents. Zini, if compatibility for existing mods/modders is such a big deal, why not set up a poll in the Bethsoft Forums? Let it run for a month or so, gather feed back from the users. Not everyone frequents this f...
