[cpack] cmakefiles can not generate deb due to broken deps

cmake can generate installers, as I discovered some time ago. But the current cmakefiles can not generate .deb files because of a wrong dependency against boost for debian testing. Debian testing is currently using boost 1.49.0 and cmakefiles.txt say it needs 1.46.1, which is not included in any deb...

Re: Realistic lockpicking

I do not think that the Open spell is a so big problem, because: _ it can not disarm traps. _ it requires magicka _ it is longer to cast a spell than to 'attack' with lockpicks I think _ it requires different spells for different difficulties, or you will waste many magicka for nothing. And in battl...

Re: Debian installation report

About the main problem I had (aka: installation is not in /usr/local with default parameters) here is the result of "#make install" here: [email protected]:/home/berenger/devel/openMW/trunk/b2# make install [ 6%] Built target shiny [ 9%] Built target shiny.OgrePlatform [ 36%] Built target components [ 89...

Re: Audiere

If the problem with ffmpeg is that it is hard to build, it seems there are development files available to download for windows: http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/ They are present for dynamic and static, as for windows 32 and 64. I do not know if they are tricky to use, I did not tried to build openm...

Re: Debian installation report

I am not really familiar with anything related to video and/or audio, so I will not try to play with it. At least to create releases... I guess I will only TRY to do some scripts to create debian packages (which are really easy in structure: the root directory is a """" clone """" of "/" then you ju...

Re: Debian installation report

Is openmw able to manage introduction video at the moment, or not? If it is but only with ffmpeg, it should be an interesting thing to know why you are not able to make stuff working with it? But I guess I'll have trouble to do so, as *buntu are based on debian sid AFAIK... About *buntu, do you have...

Re: Debian installation report

So, ffmpeg is the best solution?

I do not have access to my computer currently, I'll check that as soon as possible.

Re: Debian installation report

It seems that audiere's last update is 6 years old, so I guess FFMPEG is a better idea. And according to wikipedia, audiere only uses OSS so is really sounds like a bad idea for modern linux desktop, am I wrong? (I still have many things to learn about linux so I might be totally wrong in this asser...

Debian installation report

I have managed to compile openmw with installing dependencies only when cmake asked me for, and I have found that currently there are only those dependencies (I had to compile the one with *): Ogre libboost_filesystem-dev libboost_program_options-dev libois-dev libopenal-dev libmpg123-dev uuid-dev l...

Re: Language translation for openMW softwares

I know that the priority of such feature is very low, but I thought that such work is pretty easy and the translation itself can be made by non-programmers, so I could have done both. After doing some research on the web, it seems Qt Linguist support GNU Gettext PO format since v4.5 (source: http://...
