Re: Dead keys do not work

yeah, don't know if this is build-specific (I'm on ubuntu 12.4) but you can remap the controls for some keys in-game using options. this was the only way I could open the console

terrain object placement

I don't have any experience using it, but Yacoby's mesh generator does terrain object placement. This could possibly speed up example suite creation using some procedural placement...

Re: Getting OpenMW into Debian and Ubuntu.

From the standpoint of an ubuntu user (who hates microsoft and only has a windowz machine for MW), this is good news! As for making it so openMW is not reliant on any bethesda owned content, I thought that was the point of the example suite. I haven't poked around much in that side of the forum, tho...

Re: OpenMW 0.25.0

When you have it "beta" and considered feature complete you will most likely have a *ton* of MW fans who will jump on the bandwagon and try it out. it would be unrealistic to have no bugs, but the hope and hype generated by feature complete will be a huge draw. I'm sure that there will be more than ...

Re: First letter spell selection for magic menu

equipping items would be a problem with mods that make items unable to unequip (cursed). I don't know if this is very common, but it does exist

openCS, where to get it

Is openCS availabe for testing or is it still in development? If it is available, where do we get it? Please forgive me if this is a noob question (like for example if having openMW installed means it is already on my machine...)

editor backup

this seems like a no-brainer to anyone who has done any modding, so if this is available or in the works already please forgive me. but in the OpenMW editor, can we have an automatic or a setting to backup an esp when you save it? An example, you have a mod called "my_vivec.esp" and you change somet...

Re: OpenMW versus MW: swimming

I could see a scripted command that could call this also, so you could have the ability to make a "water trap" spell-like effect where a creature that gets hit starts drowning. Think kinda like the harry potter movie where dumbledor gets voldemort in a ball of water. as for water flow, and other poi...

OpenMW versus MW: swimming

I have a request that unlike morrowind, openMW allows for swimming at higher ground. Talking specifically about exterior cells. the morrowind way is that even when you find water above the water "line" it never lets the player or NPCs swim. Realistically, there are lakes found in mountains and it wo...
