Re: Compatibility with MGSO

All they would have to do is change the installer. There would be basically no work for the other mods and models and textures.

Re: Oblivion

I am saving this: I am a bigger fan of tons of control rather than taking the "user-friendly" approach.

Re: OpenMW Daily Build PPA

I think the daily builds are now at a point where we can let more people know about them: https://launchpad.net/~openmw/+archive/openmw-daily as long as it goes along with a disclaimer that they are intended for testing and finding bugs in the development branch. THERE WILL BE SPEARS BUGS! Maybe up...

Re: OpenMW 0.29.0

so save files may become obsoleted in future versions. That on the other hand is a very unusual wording. If I did not know, what it meant, I may not have understood it. I agree here. I would go with something like "Due to the fact that the save/load feature is still subject to change, save files pr...

Re: OpenMW 0.29.0

Bleh, sorry. I'm trying to get clarification on the contract I signed when I was hired at my current company, with respect to code I write in my spare time unrelated to my job. There shouldn't be any conflict of interest, but I'd rather play it safe and not "contaminate" the codebase with anything ...

Anyway, good luck.

Re: FPS limiter

My impression of OpenGL is that it takes alot more performance to run than directx does. Just remember there's a really big difference between how fast "OpenGL" is and how fast Ogre's OpenGL code is. OpenGL by itself can be screamingly fast, depending on the driver. But if you write poor code for i...

Re: FPS limiter

My impression of OpenGL is that it takes alot more performance to run than directx does. This is from experience. I had only suspected that it might but seeing as scrawl says it does, it confirms what I thought.

Maybe scrawl should try and join the OpenGL project haha.

Re: FPS limiter

Oh, well in this case I would recommend a cooling base. One that is fitted with fans etc. But yes, I can understand that you might not want to waste electricity. With that said, I would think there is something to limit the amount of resources a given program can use. There has to be if it is at all...
