e.g. putting them in

instead of

/usr/share/openmw/resources
or equivalent, which would be read-only in a flatpak?

Ah, I found the source of the problem! It's definitely Slowfall. Doing any kind of big jump with Slowfall 1pt in effect causes Julan to start floating and ghosting through things.

Further update: I was able to get the glitchy behavior to stop by jumping over Ghostgate. After Julan landed on the opposite side he handled collisions normally again. No idea why.

Oh wow, apologies and thanks for letting me know.

And an update on the glitch: restarting OpenMW doesn't help. I don't know anything that does except just waiting a while.

Config feature suggestion re: alchemy and potion balance

Configurable caps for skills and attributes, where the value = the max number + 100 that's allowed through fortify effects, and 0 = unlimited.

Default could be 0 for vanilla compatibility, with a suggestion of maybe 100 or 200 for players who want to try a more balanced experience.

The classic open-sourced engine with bugfixes is still available in the legacy-win32 branch, but the master branch is completely revamped, using Boost and SFML. It's still pretty buggy (esp. on Linux), but yeah.
