Re: Microsoft buys Bethesda... What does it mean for OpenMW?
Iirc, they used assets from original game. At least they required them. I've thought it was engine reimplementation in Unity (as Daggerfall Unity), not a complete remake of game data.New game in new engine

Re: Microsoft buys Bethesda... What does it mean for OpenMW?
Fortunately, the approach of OpenMW and the cold blood of Zini et al. avoided any further problems. It raises a question about recreating with OpenMW other 3d-rpgs. For example, VtM - Bloodlines (last attempt, Project Vaulderie, was shut down by Activision). The email exchanges is stored in the wik...

Re: OpenMW with Godot?
Old GPUs don't support Vulkan. Is there any plans for VSG to support OpenGL?
Also, Godot probably can make other stuff simpler. Physics, for example.
But actually i don't know, what i'm writing about. So good luck in any case.

OpenMW with Godot?
Godot is awesome by the way. As said elsewhere, had it been around when OpenMW started then it could have been used. © psi29a Sometime ago i've read that OpenMW probably will not support Vulkan, because replacing OpenGL with it will break compatibility with older hardware and supporting both API wi...

Re: Microsoft buys Bethesda... What does it mean for OpenMW?
you try to figure out how something work You don't disassemble original engine? It's a relieve! It is unfortunate that the original engine and the various hacks on it are still so popular, but there is nothing we can really do. You can keep doing awesome job, it's working. Either way, thanks for yo...

Microsoft buys Bethesda... What does it mean for OpenMW?
Source.
When Microsoft bought github there was a split in OpenMW team. Now Microsoft owns Morrowind itself. Also, i'm not sure that Microsoft allows to reverse their code (at least wine team explicitly warns against it for windows libs).
So, what's does it all mean for OpenMW?
