Items in hand
I think it would be cool if the player could take items off the game world in hand and then have a few options for using them. Like: put in inventory, eat / drink, read, equip, throw, drop etc. The item would be visible when in hand, like weapons. Together with sitting and eating / drinking animatio...

Re: [EXPLAINED] Original project programming language change
Before the rewrite every few days someone would write in some forum that they'd like to contribute to the project if it switched over to C++ .
Re: 2014
I'd like to just throw in a vote for getting rid of loose files if that happens to become possible. Also, imho there should be exactly one way of installing and managing mods and exactly one supported format for packaging mods (7z). I hate the wild west of mod management with rars, aces, competing m...

Re: OpenMW Faq Video
In the past Bethesda lawyers seem to have been quite trigger happy about their trademarks (like "The Scrolls"). So possibly even regarding spoken text, it might be a good idea to refrain from phrasing "Open Morrowind". Or maybe i'm just paranoid. Around the time when OpenMW first...

Re: OpenMW Performance
Speaking of Phoronix, afaik the Phoronix test suite is free to use in a project like this? I've never used it and i think it might be slightly beyond my skills, but possibly someone else could set up an automated environment for future performance testing? Possibly Michael Larabel might even be inte...

Re: Shield Like Oblivion?
I think the problem with having all that chance-to-hit gameplay with sanctuary spells and whatnot, is that there's no animation that would explain to players what happened. An alternative to replacing it with Oblivion/Skyrim -style mechanics (and ditching some gameplay aspects in the process), would...

Re: Alchemy screen Mark III
I think Skyrim's improvements are great and should be be emulated. That would mean greying out ingredients that are known not to produce anything with the ones you've already picked for brewing. So there would be a behind the scenes list of tried combinations. Problem with that is there's some fund...

Re: OpenMW 0.14.0
Mark Siewert has already done that feature once for Crystal Scrolls, so he's probably the right person for the job. He just had some problems getting a toolchain up and running. You can read about it here.
