Re: Optional Vanilla Water Shader
Hey, ist there some progress with a vanilla water shader? I'm not capable of any programing language but I'm stubborn and like to tinker alot so if there ist some work to, like taking special screenshots of the landscape for the "fake" reflecting effect, I would be happy to help. Hey, jus...

Re: Optional Vanilla Water Shader
Perhaps I'm not the best person to be making this point because: 1. I prefer the vanilla shader (so I might be kinda of bias) 2. I also like the scrawls shader (so it's not like I'm desperate to see it changed) 3. I totally understand that there are much more important things to put development time...

Re: Optional Vanilla Water Shader
Would be nice to have a baseline for 1.0 that looks and acts 100% Vanilla (-glitchiness) and that would also give people a nice starting point for further improvements to the shader IMO but I understand why there are other priorities for the team. : )

Re: Morrowind Acoustic Overhaul
I used to have the same issue, found someone saying somewhere to make sure not to load more than 1 cell in the settings.cfg https://openmw.readthedocs.io/en/master/reference/modding/settings/cells.html (You might also want to turn down the view distance) https://openmw.readthedocs.io/en/master/refer...

Re: Optional Vanilla Water Shader
Ah cool! So even if the water in un-modded OpenMW doesn't look like VanillaMW, someone can, and probably will, create a mod that fixes that, and they (or anyone else) can further modify that water shader to improve things like the speed of the ripples and the hardness of the edges? That's good to kn...

Re: Optional Vanilla Water Shader
I think when it comes to something like the look of the water, it's quite subjective and what constitutes better is going to change from person to person. I think the most pragmatic solution is just to aim for 100% Vanilla water or "Classic Water", maybe with "New Water" as an op...

Re: Optional Vanilla Water Shader
I'd just like to chime in by saying that because OpenMW brought me back to playing Morrowind after a very long time, I had forgotten about the old water shader. I looked at the shader-less water, assumed that was how Vanilla always looked and thought "man, I can't believe I used to think this w...

No Breath Bar Near Water's surface
Hi! In Vanilla engine and as it is currently in OpenMW, you can totally submerge your head just below the surface of water while swimming or treading water but no breath bar will pop up meaning you could stay there forever, in 3rd person this is especially jarring as it always appears as though your...
