Re: Measuring Frame-Time in OpenMW

There are already external tools like MSI Afterburner, allowing to display overlay with FPS, frametime, CPU usage, GPU usage, temperatures, and so on. Existing profiler already displays many useful informations that aren't accessible for other tools. I think that unless devs aren't looking for reinv...

Re: Worst Race in morrowind?

I think if you want to go as Ranged character (whether it is bows, or shurikens, or darts), then these 15 points from the start are quite helpful. Morrowind isn't Oblivion nor Skyrim when lower skill only lower your damage and disable some perks, yet you still hit anyone anytime. 15 additional point...

Re: Game Files Installation

Installer would scan default install paths for existing OpenMW* directories, if it detects any, then it gives an user a question about how to deal with old installation.

Re: Free-licensed game in OpenMW engine?

From my experience it's usually better to manually add more vertex. Subsurf is a good tool, but amount of time you need to spend to configure every single edge, and then fix some faces and delete unnecessary vertexes (sometimes you're deleting half of them, because the mesh was already dense in this...

psi29a wrote: 24 Jun 2018, 18:40 So long the 3rd-party lib is not statically compiled in, then you can ship the openmw executable together with the library and still honour the licenses involved.
So you can even use DirectX and/or another closed-source libraries and unless you don't distribute them, you're still fine?

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

Maybe different lightning, or some differences in post-processing between both games?

Re: Elder-scrolls IV Oblivion

<insert wat meme here> I guess this could be a possibility to bring some Fallout fans to help developing engine and CS to work with both games. In the end, unless features of game A doesn't break features of game B, then it's a benefit for engine. Playing both games on continuously developed, OS-ind...

Re: Elder Scrolls: VI

Bethesda basically said Yes, we're working on something in this universe, we don't even know how it will be named yet, now shut the hell up about us porting Skyrim to microvawes and traffic lights in a way that make people cheer. Speech - 80 In the end it's still good news. I wonder how they'll solv...

Re: Elder Scrolls: VI

Well, that could bring some mechanic of believer/non-believer Bosmers, either you keep on with all these restrictions and get some buffs, or not give a damn about that and get another perks (or not).
