Map notes

Looks like no one has suggested this feature, but it is present in Morrowind (probably only with expansions). Maybe you have some ideas on how to improve them. More info on how they work: http://uesp.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13735 They are also written to a save file as "MPNT" records. T...

Re: Flat file logging

Morrowind allows making marks on the map with a description of up to thousand characters or so. Just double click the map and you will get a dialogue with a multiline text input field.

Re: Icons

As far as i know such icons are rarely scaled, for better readability authors usually supply versions for every needed size which requires a lot of manual adjustments even if the sources are in vector format. While you may decide to scale anyway because it is so much more work to draw all those icon...

Re: Acrobatics Task

Acrobatics: According to the manual and the UESP , Acrobatics <...> and how steep the slopes can be for you to climb. By modification of player's acrobatics and a bridge's angle and trying to pass the bridge I've reached a conclusion that you can only climb a slope if its angle is less than 46 degr...

Re: Adventure-style object manipulation

Well, sorry for this badly wriotten description. It would be great if it really was in the realm of modding alone but it looks like it isn't. yeah, This is the ability I missed in morrowind. There is so much menus instead. In arx fatalis it's actually one of the parts I really liked: combine water a...

Adventure-style object manipulation

I want to suggest quite a simple feature. I believe most of you have played adventure games or escape-from-the-room ones. If you have, you probably know that most of gameplay in these games (and many others) consists of combining various objects such as inventory items, furniture, NPCs, etc. In most...

Re: Acrobatics Task

Hello, here is a plugin file I used to collect fall damage data. The scripts are quite clumsy, but they are fully automatic once you activate them and output data to 'MWSELog.txt' file. So you can perform any number of tests without extra effort as long as you have time. The plugin requires MWSE to ...

Re: Acrobatics Task

Here is something about fall damage. Fall damage in Morrowind depends on height difference between a highest point and a point of contact with the ground and not on a final speed. If you drop player from a huge height and then immediately place him just a few centimeters above the ground, he will no...

Re: Reversing Morrowind's formulas

Hello. I've noticed in one of the topics that some of you use MessageBox while reversing the formulas. You can improve your productivity with Morrowind Script Extender (MWSE) . It allows you to use xLogMessage function in your scripts. This function " writes out formatted strings to the log fil...
