Re: Acrobatics Task

It's interesting to note how much framerate seems to affect the accuracy of these measurements - and possibly playing on WINE. From a PM conversation with HiPhish: "The framerate is between 30 and 60, mostly 40-something. I am always performing 100 jumps" And his data is the lower sloped l...

Re: Acrobatics Task

Well if I had bothered to go with two equations I would have had this a week ago.(although I would have to refind them now) The fatigue value is going to be multiplying the entire equation. If you dont have it like this and fatigue drops to zero, then you can still jump when you shouldnt be able to...

Re: Acrobatics Task

I'm going to confirm this with "Series 6" (64 base, 6 multiplier) Why are you using series? Change the AcrobaticsBase and AcrobaticsMult randomly every time, it will increase the efficiency of Formulize. If you can't do this with scripts, patch the values in memory. P.S. We also may enhan...

Re: Acrobatics Task

Ok, I was just messing around with the 4 and putting the skill level to the 4th power plus some other stuff gives the proper shape for the graph. Previously I was unable to get a non-negative slope starting at zero, but using 4 as the exponent solves that.(why they would call it the multiplier when...

Re: Acrobatics Task Update

If linear was true, I would have found it a week ago.(Interestingly, they simplified it in Oblivion and made it linear.) I will be very curious to see what exactly it is. (because I am kinda lazy, and also because I have textures and models to do, I havnt bothered testing myself) With the data I do...

Re: Acrobatics Task Update

I've been playing with the mathematical model, and god - it's definitely not a simple linear formula. If it was, I'd probably be done already. Re: Acrobatics Task Update

Adding to the problem is that Morrowind's starting velocity for a jump is ever so slightly randomized. Not by a whole lot, and I suspect it's more an error in the game engine than a specific setting, but a series of tests and calculations show that the error does exist. Do you have a steady, solid ...
