Re: OpenMW 0.47.0

OpenMW always had a multi-core support.

Re: 0.47 lighting issue

It was this merge request, mentioned in this thread (there is a screenshot with red sky in this thread). As I understood, the issue is that ARM can store data components in a different order, what can cause such kind of issues. Despite that issue was on Linux arm, not on a Mac one, there can be some...

Re: 0.47 lighting issue

As for me, it looks similar to red objects when using shadows on ARM (due to bug in GPU driver), which we had in the past.

Re: OpenMW 0.47.0

I'm a bit curios why OpenMW needs to hold on to so many open file descriptors. OpenMW does not load a data for the whole game world at once, it loads data from disk on demand (e.g. when you visit a new cell and the engine needs to get data for that cell). To do not open/close hundreds of ESM/ESP fi...

Re: Strange perfomance problem: FPS is much better the first time I run openMW (nightly build)

If I understood correctly, ICO is used for Distant Land for both terrain and object paging (latter was added only in 0.47). There can be cases when OpenMW feeds data to ICO faster than it can be processed, so there is a slowdown and increased memory usage in such cases. Also already fed data can not...

Re: Compiling for Win32

IIRC, there was a decision to do not maintain 32-bit builds anymore, so there is no 32-bit libraries on the OpenMW repo. To make a 32-bit build, you need to find 32-bit libraries somewhere, probably build a part of them by yourself.

Re: OpenMW won't launch (Linux Mint 20.1)

The 0x8cdd stands for GL_FRAMEBUFFER_UNSUPPORTED_EXT (your GPU for some reason tells that it does not support framebuffer format requested by OpenMW).

Re: Enchanted item broken after resetting my install

More likely after reset you installed OpenMW 0.46 instead of 0.47. In 0.46 or older each spell or item can summon only one creature with given ID (because every next effect just replaces a previous one).

Usually such sudden issues in Linux happen when you update your GPU drivers and then forget to restart an Xorg session or reboot your PC.
