Re: Calling All Gamepad Gamers
Use steam big picture mode to configure the controller for Xbox one inputs. No access to Steam though. If you own a pc, you have access to Steam. Install it and add your games to Steam, you don't need to buy anything off the steam store to use the controller configuration for free. Trust me it's be...

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7f/DualShock_2.jpg/299px-DualShock_2.jpg If gamepad UI is improved in future releases of OpenMW, I hope this will include PlayStation controllers, since I'm currently playing (with difficulty) OpenMW with my PS2 controller. Use steam big pictur...

Re: Calling All Gamepad Gamers
This is a much-needed area of improvement for OpenMW, the issue is we don't have anyone contributing code to make it better. If you're able to code this stuff, we would be happy to receive your contributions! I've only ever done some light scripting in the oblivion cs, it would be a steep learning ...

Calling All Gamepad Gamers
I don't know what it is about the Xbox One controller, it's perfect curves, minimal pressure required to press those buttons, or the fact that you can hit the shoulder buttons and triggers with the same finger positioning. Anyways I love playing with a controller, mouse and keyboard just doesn't wor...

OpenOB?
When OpenMW is all polished up and complete, will it be a far simpler task to port Oblivion over, or is it basically starting from scratch? I've also seen mention of Fallout 3/NV.

Re: Performance Suggestions
stock samsung firmware is the absolute worst for any kind of resolution modification which would improve the games resolution as it has to be done globally at the moment. that is whats killing it for you, your devices resolution is set way higher than it possibly needs to be. samsung is notorious f...

Re: Performance Suggestions
Alternatively, rather than adding more complexity user side, perhaps you could take a page out of Oblivion Reloaded's book. Keep the single slider as it is, and create a system to dynamically adjust draw distance based on frame rate. Then 2 variables could be provided to the player, the minimum and ...

Re: File Path Selector Needlessly Difficult?
I'm going to assume you didn't read my last post. It's working fine now, and your guide wouldn't have solved the problem. The file path to the sd card on my phone contained a unique 6 character alpha numeric string. OI file manager is the easy solution, as it allows you to easily get the full file p...

Re: Performance Suggestions
AI almost does not affect performance at all (excluding cases of mass battles). The main issue is physics. Also animations ("skinning") can take a lot of time with HD-meshes. Since we update physics only for actors inside AI processing distance, "AI distance" slider name is misl...

Performance Suggestions
Now that much of the port is playable I think a few things could be implemented that would significantly improve performance for many users. I noticed that there is a draw distance slider which certainly helped improve performance on my A5, but does the standard version of Morrowind/OpenMW feature s...
