I know nothing about compute shaders, they would be nice to play with. Very excited.
I think LSAO can only be done via a compute shader, seen in Remedy's games. It is very fast.
It would be nice to know the cost of a shader(or passes) in ms.

Re: OpenMW 0.47.0
Hey, your video looks really cool. Maybe we would be lucky to have animated grass, A2C and soft shadows for the next release.mistermoonshine wrote: ↑05 Jan 2021, 17:15 ...
That's a good idea. It's kinda too late now for 0.47 as I have already uploaded it... but I can do one for the next release.

Re: Full graphics overhaul ...
I also used the classic mods you cited as a base, then updated(and also mixed and matched) with the newer ones you cited. That's what a mod hunter would do? I mean, it is very hard to compose an overhaul, AI assist aside, let alone keep it up to date. I was a supporter of MGSO, I filed its first bug...

Re: Full graphics overhaul ...
People like mods. Hunting for mods is half the fun. I like it modular, I even mix and match. Better mods are released all the time. You are on outdated stuff with packs.

Re: Water Shader turns into a pixelated mess
I never saw this on different hardware/os combos. I should test it on 4xx/5xx series. But I had weird results working on water shader, like same code working different on other hardware or even weirder, code that is not supposed to work, just work. Since opengl is more strict, I thought this kind of...

Re: Guy on youtube starts a let's play with OpenMW...
I am not the kind of person that would throw this "dumbing down" thing so easily but they made the games idiot proof. No question about it. I question it. What exactly did they change to help the "idiots"? Not the quest markers, essential NPCs, and level scaling, which I've alre...

Re: Guy on youtube starts a let's play with OpenMW...
I presume you mean the language its being played in, since there are non-Engilsh versions of these games</pedantry>. In that case, I'd like to see someone try. Someone who's just playing it for the first time, doesn't listen to anyone speak and doesn't read anything, and see how far they can get. O...

Re: Guy on youtube starts a let's play with OpenMW...
I don't really care about that list except one point. Those others are small things compared to the big picture. You can play the entirety of Oblivion/Skyrim without knowing the English language. If that is not an indicator for dumbing down for an RPG, I don't know what is. On roleplaying aspects, m...
