Re: Alchemy
1. Duration is given relative to magnitude. Are we talking about the max magnitude here or the randomly generated magnitude between 1 and max magnitude. Magnitude is the random chosen number and max_magnitude is the maximum possible number. I've used them consistently throughout everything. Duratio...

Morrowind alchemy bug "type in your name"
Because I spend again an hour to fix this same glitch (and many people have this problem in the original Morrowind) I decided to document this here. I don't bother to register around the internet to post this in every topic it has been mentioned in. If you happen to be on a forum where someone asks ...
Re: Alchemy
In regard to final, it would be nice to have someone else confirm it. I can have a small test run for this, this weekend. Busy IRL recently, but looking at this at the moment. One question, how does this relate to this: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Alchemy BasePotionStrength = (Alchemy/Effect...

Re: OpenMW Performance
Do people also see a huge performance loss in current git?
<edit>
Never mind, switching the shaders option a few times seems to have fixed it.

Re: OpenMW Performance
You've been reading too much phoronix. ;) My results are based on amd's and nvidia's binary blob. The intel result is the only one that is FOSS. If I used foss for amd and nvidia, I get about a 80% drop in performance. You be the judge. I don't read/visit phoronix. I also never managed to get the A...

Re: OpenMW Performance
(Xorg open source ati drivers) There's your problem. Nope, these days the FOSS drivers are quite good (I've used games which require more graphic power than OpenMW, and they run fine). They should hold up for something like this. There was an update last week for these drivers for my distro, but pe...

Re: Alchemy
There is at least a field in the skill records for that (default value 0.50).Zini wrote: 2. There are still plenty of magic numbers in the formula. Are we absolutely sure that there is no GMST for that?

Re: OpenMW Performance
Inside ~15FPS, outside ~7FPS (viewing distance on minimum), about ~15FPS when I turn off the texture filtering. Everything else is off as well.

Re: Alchemy
I don't know if Luck and Intelligence are involved, but I do know that the Alchemy level itself has an influence. Also the effect that is generated has an influence on the duration (e.g. damage fatigue can have a longer duration then restore health, depending on equipment used). I don't know if the ...
