Re: The new MWSE-Lua interface

I've never asked for backup. Go get some rest man, you're being an ass, and that's not usually the case. Don't let people like Psi and I get to you. What, should I let a loud-mouthed bully like you endlessly harass my friends because they're too nice and intellectual to do anything about you? Maybe...

Re: The new MWSE-Lua interface

[This whole wall of text of screencaps] It's... very very, mean spirited, disappointingly so, to bring up conversations from chatrooms outside of them. What a wonder, people is more candid with their words when they're sharing banter with friends. Imagine if someone recorded stuff you said in a bar...

Re: The new MWSE-Lua interface

One of the best things we did when I worked on a professional game engine was open our platform up to 3rd party plugins. My so-called obsession comes from this experience, seeing how it affected our product, and working with all the 3rd party developers. How do you alleviate developer bottlenecks s...

psi29a has been an ass to me here, in PMs, and in Discord. I'm not going to pretend he and I get along, but thanks for bringing that to the forums.
Is there anyone you get along with these days? I used to have some degree of respectful neutrality towards you and I don't think it's there anymore.

Re: The new MWSE-Lua interface

Nothing sekrit about OpenMW, it's not developed in a vacuum. I believe there are many knee-jerk reactions here _or_ that reading comprehension skills need sharpening. No, nothing sekrit, you just have to: A)Learn everything about a complex engine's internals and then hope the klub likes it and acce...

Re: The new MWSE-Lua interface

Giving people more slack to do anything they want sounds all fine and dandy, until they get enough slack that they end up hanging themselves. You're probably right. I went and exposed the Morrowind scene graph to people, and they went and did the worst shit, like releasing weapon sheathing and stat...

Re: OpenNuka

I'll look forward to proving you wrong. It took a decade to get OpenMW to where it is now, and it had dozens of experienced programmers working on it. You're still learning coding, so you should probably start out with a more humble perspective before you start seeming to us like you're on the bad ...

Re: Performance Issues

The physics FPS is capped at 30 by default in the upcoming version of TES3MP anyway. I recommend that you try that cap.

Re: Recent Negativity Regarding OpenMW

That's in a separate codebase that's focused on providing a multiplayer experience, isn't it? OpenMW is going to remain single-player focused and just get an option for multiplayer. I don't think OpenMW is going to become TES3MP in all but name, it'll just take relevant changes to get similar funct...

Re: Recent Negativity Regarding OpenMW

The latter reason for a major version change is a lot trickier to deal with than it may seem. Updates tend to be incremental, for example it won't be that Multiplayer gets dropped into the codebase and Zini Said It Was Good. Instead, it'll be implemented in a (barely) functioning state that most pl...
