What version of OpenMW are you using? The AI for followers starting combat has been changed in the code recently, but isn't in the latest release (0.4.1). Try one of the daily builds with the latest code, or 0.4.2 when that comes out. If you are already using the latest code, it's something that may...

There's a fix being worked on that will hopefully help, but I don't know when or if it will be put into the game code. If it gets in, and you use a new nightly build from the Organization and Planning forum, hopefully your saved game will still work. It might still be a while before the fix gets in,...

OpenMW doesn't work correctly with GCD yet. Hopefully a fix will be in before too long.

OK, well I have both expansions, but I just chose to load only the Bloodmoon.esm. It seems to me like it should also be possible to do it in OpenMW.
