Re: OpenMW 0.43.0
The windows RC is still apparently made with an old version of SDL2 - 2.0.4 - that has annoying input bugs. The very next version of SDL2, 2.0.5, fixes them. The current stable version of SDL2 is 2.0.7. Just dragging and dropping the new SDL2 version into the install directory doesn't seem to break...

Re: Help- Can't find Factions ranks in OpenCS
Just a quick heads-up: I'd already implemented the Faction Ranks subtable, when I realised that we needed a way of keeping the rank count <= 10. While implementing that, however, I also decided to improve usability by adding a bunch of new context menu options. The features (faction ranks and impro...

Re: Help- Can't find Factions ranks in OpenCS
Things I've noticed: In Comoponents/esm/loadfact.hpp Notice how the line RankData mRankData is lacking the "int" that the other lines have. struct FADTstruct { // Which attributes we like int mAttribute[2]; RankData mRankData[10]; int mSkills[7]; // IDs of skills this faction require // Ea...

Re: Help- Can't find Factions ranks in OpenCS
Just for reference, the bug report I files is Bug #4209 "CS can not view or edit PCRANK for factions". I'm sort of double posting on this because I don't know what I'm doing and would very much appreciate any help I can get.

Re: Help- Can't find Factions ranks in OpenCS
@Atahualpa Thanks for the help. I'd be happy to look at whatever you have; noting of course that I'm not a programmer so it might not mean much to me. I'm really just opening each file of the source code in a text editor and searching for either Faction or PCRANK. @aesylwinn Thanks for directing me ...

Re: Help- Can't find Factions ranks in OpenCS
I did some digging in the source code. There is a file at esmtool/record.cpp template<> void Record<ESM::Faction>::print() { std::cout << " Name: " << mData.mName << std::endl; std::cout << " Hidden: " << mData.mData.mIsHidden << std::endl; std::cout << " Attribute1: " ...

Re: OpenMW 0.43.0
I found out what my problem was. (since I knew it wasn't that my pc was crap). I've got 16 gb of ram in my machine so running out of memory never happens to me. I can run Oblivion and Skyrim at the same time and not have a problem so it boggled my mind why Morrowind would do this to me. After watchi...

Re: OpenMW 0.43.0
Ok, I went into the CFG file and tested some changes to see if I could get better performance. It seems to be the case that turning distant land off removed the lag and prevented locking up. Even when I increase the exterior cell load from 1 to 2, I didn't really have any problems when running aroun...

Re: OpenMW 0.43.0
Further testing on the Linux RC, it seems like the engine stutters and hangs up more and more frequently the longer I play and the more places I visit. Eventually, it even goes gray. I was assuming it was dues to optimizations but maybe it's not handling memory very well.

Re: A way to look for bugs in CS
Thanks for the positive feedback. Currently I'm looking through nexus to find some small mods to try out first. If anyone has any suggested mods you want me or anyone else to start with, please list it here. I hope to have the first couple of mods to report on maybe by Morndas ... Ahem ... I mean, M...
