Re: OpenHUD, is there a way to install this without root?
/usr/share/games/openmw/ is located within the root file system, so normally, you cannot modify this directory, not without giving your root password. I don't feel comfortable doing that. It's a personal taste of mine that I don't install stuff from third-parties into the root directory. The root d...

Re: OpenHUD, is there a way to install this without root?
The first thing to say is that you don't quite understand what the advice about root access is about. You should always limit the programs you permit root access to, as they can modify your entire system, including system-critical files, which are and should be untouchable otherwise. This isn't par...

Re: There exists a branch of OpenMW that is able to load assets from Oblivion's data files
That's pretty cool.
Does that mean that one day we can have Oblivion-style combat animation and other such animation in OpenMW in the future and maybe a compass similar to Oblivion also?

Re: OpenMW 0.46.0 Ghostfence Bug
You are right, it works after disabling the replacer, however, I've used this replacer in the past with OpenMW and it had worked before, but now no more.
Here's the replacer: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/43316

OpenMW 0.46.0 Ghostfence Bug
I'm running OpenMW 0.46.0 on Lubuntu 18.04. You can pass through the Ghostfence forcefield. Here is openmw.log: Crash handler installed Loading config file: /etc/openmw/openmw.cfg Loading config file: /home/~/.config/openmw/openmw.cfg OpenMW version 0.46.0 Using default (English) font encoding. Re: Julan Ashlander Companion
Actually most teleport problems should have been fixed in 0.46.0. I've tested the mark and recall spells with Julan with 0.46.0 and these are the results: I'm inside Ghostgate, Tower of Dusk, I did a Mark, then I did a Divine Intervention which took me to Buckmoth Legion Fort, which Julan followed ...

Re: Problems with the flathub version of OpenMW
I also have the non-Flatpak version of OpenMW installed and none of these problems are observed on there, so this is a Flatpak problem. Here's my ffmpeg version: ffmpeg -version ffmpeg version 3.4.8-0ubuntu0.2 Copyright (c) 2000-2020 the FFmpeg developers built with gcc 7 (Ubuntu 7.5.0-3ubuntu1~18.0...
