Re: Blizzard File Parsing
I agree. Blizzard games are mechanically very different from The Elder Scrolls games. So it would make sense to use some more general-purpose engine to do something with Blizzard's game data files. Unless you want to pet a zergling in OpenMW VR Having a parser as a general library would be nice thou...

Re: OpenMW 0.47.0 Released!
What do you mean? OpenMW supports the Steam version of Morrowind just fine.
not sure how it would be done on Windows, or if it is even possible, but on Linux you can make Steam run Morrowind directly with OpenMW using Luxtorpeda

Re: OpenMW 0.47.0 Released!
One issue though none of the Linux releases appear to be updated to 0.47!! Just check the downloads links. It's even worse with distro repositories, ubuntu's is still 0.45.. Can you elaborate on that a bit? The Linux build for 0.47 is available on Github. The version of OpenMW available in distro r...

Re: OpenMW Spotlight: Lua & Light, the second chapter
wow, the screenshots demonstrate really well how lighting completely changes the feeling of the game
can't wait to immerse myself in the comfy atmosphere that new lighting will bring
how would rave party in Morrowind look like?

Re: Is there a cli tool to install morrowind data files from CD-ROM?
TES3MP server does not need game data I would suggest that you take a look at Frequently Asked Questions and server setup guide . If that does not clear things up enough, you can visit TES3MP Discord server where you can get further assistance. I'm running TES3MP server in Docker container on Fedora...

Re: Having trouble compiling on Ubuntu 20.04
can you try if this works for you: $ git clone https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/ $ mkdir openmw/build $ cd openmw/build $ cmake .. $ make You can use "make -j 4" instead of just "make" if you want to use more cores and therefore compile the thing faster. Replace 4 with the number...

Re: On VirtualBox, Fix for Camera/Mouse/Cursor Control Problem
Last time I checked, looking at floor and spazzing out is caused because "mouse integration" (seamless transition of mouse cursor between host and guest OS) Disabling that through either key combination or though menu should make things better. But then you will have to press Host key ever...
