Re: What not to alter in an existing save?
You're totally free to modify openmw launcher settings without messing up your save files. Changing mod files across a save is hit-or-miss. I'd recommend just making a backup of your load order whenever you try anything new. Also, be sure to take advantage of OpenMW's separate /Data folder feature s...

Re: Randomly generated save files
What does this kind of randomization look like? If you're just hoping for a character to start with random stats in a random location, I think that will probably be possible once openmw-lua is out.

Re: openmw is good
Is that still the plan? Looks like there hasn't been any work on tes3mp for over two years . 2 years on the master branch yes, but branch 0.7.1 was being actively developed last summer. The Readme.md suggests that tes3mp is basically feature-complete at this point, so perhaps there's not a pressing...

Re: OpenMW 0.47.0
I see that there is only one task still listed under the 0.47.0 milestone in gitlab. Does that imply that a 0.47.0 RC will soon be in the works?

Is there a cli tool to install morrowind data files from CD-ROM?
I have an old HP server that I use to host various services from my house. I was looking to setup tes3mp-server on a docker container, and mess about with some friends. Yes, I know that this is the openmw engine forum, and not tes3mp github. The issue I run into is how can I install the openmw data ...

Re: Crash using optirun/bumblebee on Linux
Primusrun segfaults whenever I try to run anything with it, and none of the fixes I've seen online have worked. The intel card works, but I get ~13fps on lowest graphical settings whenever I go to an outside area.

Crash using optirun/bumblebee on Linux
My laptop has both an nvidia card and an intel one, and it uses nvidia optimus to switch between them as needed. As such, I have to use bumblebee on Linux if I want my nvidia card to work (which I do for openmw, since the intel one chugs terribly) using "optirun openmw" Launching openmw ge...

Re: making game with openmw question
While the code behind the engine is certainly Bethesda's IP, they do not have any copyright claim over what that code does. To put it another way: Microsoft has copyright over the code to MS Word, but they cannot claim copyright over all word processing software. Only the code that they wrote is pro...
