We should probably define a few standard places to take a benchmark since it can vary so much. An indication of whether you are running modded or not would be helpful too.

I use Linux Mint myself but would Mageia access a PPA the same way as Ubuntu? (I am not an experienced Linux user - I have had Mint for a month) Look at the Installation Instructions in the Wiki and you will see that there is a link to the Ubuntu repository ppa:openmw/openmw which will get you 0.36....

Another question on the subject of consequences... ...how do the antagonistic Guild questlines affect each other? I am at the early Fighters Guild quest to deal with four Telvanni Agents at the Caldera Ebony Mine. Eydis has been to great pains to say they are Thieves Guild but that I can murder them...
