If you can share a guide (if it exists), I'd love to understand whether these skeletons are unnecessarily limiting? I.e. if modern skeletons were introduced, would this make life easier for modders?

I understand this could create some enormous mod compatibility issues.

I've played Morrowind since Windows XP and was previously an active member of the modding community. I've been following OpenMW religiously for years and finally feel that 0.47 is the first consumer-ready experience. It's amazing. I don't think the "dice roll" attack style works in VR. I tried it out briefly and it felt more like there was a bug and I was actually missing the enemy, rather than simply not having a high enough attack value.

Bug: If you rest with a timed active effect, you remain affected for the duration of rest.

Repro:

1. Cast 'fire damage' on self, 1 second duration, 1 damage.
2. Immediately sleep.
3. Die upon waking.

This reproduces consistently.

This forum has a "modding support" and "modding compatibility" section, but no general "morrowind mods" section. As Bethesda has deprecated the Morrowind modding forums, it seems like there isn't a good place for modders to showcase work. Maybe Reddit is the place, but ...

Is there a reason why we cannot convert character animation mods from any of the other TES games? The one area I assume not supported by the engine (because it's extremely non-vanilla) is multiple "slash" animations per "attack type". I would love to suggest this as an area that ...

I have Ubuntu 14.10.

I attempt the installation process from my /wine/ folder. The only error message I recieve is that 'cannot extract readme.txt'. Morrowind is working fine under Wine, no errors whatsoever.
