Re: Lua scripting in OpenMW
Ignore MWScript while designing the Lua API and retrofit it later instead of doing it all upfront and potentially polluting the API with MWScript-isms. +1 just a hunch. altho a thing to keep in mind in some degree. also, sorry if discussed already, but from mod author or new game creator perspectiv...

Re: New Game player spawn
hi. anyway as of long time. 1. how exactly ? is the ID, player, and not just the name field ? Just creating player npc works, preferencing it in a script. placing it in the game as npc seems to be just normal npc tho in my experiment so script needs to be used. 2. you can add it to the start scripts...

Re: Changelog (Android)
well. hash didn't work out with easy search. and desktop github is more geared toward code maintenance than general searching in this case. for 0.46 stable release there's changelog https://github.com/OpenMW/openmw/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md for nightlies in forks thread instead searching what isn't y...

Re: Changelog (Android)
no what know of besides what has been written to discord and to port's forum threads. apparently thought there should be hash search somewhere. https://docs.github.com/en/github/searching-for-information-on-github/searching-commits#search-by-hash which i think is one in here https://github.com/xyzz/...

Re: openmw 0.46 testing doc feedback
hi .p To cut things short this document is kinda on hiatus as has been last months after release. All the test cases has been written iirc so feel free to skim trought. Testing remaining issues now has kind lost it's point althought can work as an reference for future. Was picking strawberries and t...

Re: OpenMW 0.46.0
just throwing here as have tried to make job interview videos from ground up. four, each about minute long. figuring out what to say is it's own hurdle and depending on person can take time or less. Then memorizing that said text and iterating to something that you can naturally speak, memorize and ...

openmw 0.46 testing doc feedback
hi. now that release is near this is kinda just a showcase. there has been effort to catalogue, descripe and test o.46 changelog issues. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1x-x6omuc01NsDoHSMdWQeZbzv3y0QZTJVvYL-e9foPI/edit?usp=sharing would say that issues marked green are ready to test. some are sim...

Re: Scripting Reference
now that i'm in a scroll, just a question. (edit: as talking about documentation instead of a software) could this be good licenced at CC BY SA NC as would that prohibit using this documentation for commercial purposes as is or would CC BY SA be better option ? i figure that GhanBuriGhan purposebly ...

Re: OpenMW 0.46.0
i think there would be lot of overhead making this integral part of the development cycle. even when in same workplace could, as files need to be made and test cases written continuously. it would be good for documenting purposes but not much help if nobody actively making said document. that's why ...

Re: OpenMW 0.46.0
so. to keep things short :) There's has been an effort to test issues in 0.46 changelog via google docs. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1x-x6omuc01NsDoHSMdWQeZbzv3y0QZTJVvYL-e9foPI/edit?usp=sharing Basically almost third (78) of them is more or less tested and have marked with a little green bac...
