Re: OpenMW Game Template
Textures are stored in BSA files, right? Perhaps OpenMW could check on each launch to see if there are any new or modified .bsa files (using a non-cryptographic hash), compress the textures in them to a format that works best on that platform, and cache them for quick loading in the future.

Re: Export/Import XML
Making progress so far with parsing the .ESMs used by Morrowind, Bloodmoon, Tribunal, and Morrowind GOTY for Xbox (which doesn't add any new records or subrecords compared to PC's Morrowind GOTY). However, the OpenMW wiki page lacks documentation on several record types and their subrecords: LTEX NA...

Re: Export/Import XML
You don't actually need an import/export capability. A standalone tool that did XML to binary and back conversion would probably do the job. That said, the fact that we don't fully understand all the bits in the file format makes it a little difficult. I'll take a crack at it. I always wished (and ...

Re: OpenMW Game Template
Wow! I wonder if something similar is used to make landscaping cities easier. GTA, Prototype and maybe a few others have huge cities, perhaps they just convert some geographical data and generate the landscape instead of manually adjusting everything. After all, it would be a pain to have to place ...

Re: Speeding up travis
I've gone ahead and filled out the requests for them to whitelist most of the needed packages. Hopefully it won't take too long for them to get back to us.

Re: OpenMW Game Template
Perhaps have a full moon with a gear overlaid, with the gear spinning while the moon stays in place. Maybe the gear could be star-shaped somehow?
Re: FreeMW
Ah. Sorry, I'm more used to the Command and Conquer series where most of the installments (the 2D ones, anyway) use very similar formats.
Re: FreeMW
I didn't mean "how hard would it be to port Skyrim's animations," I meant "how hard would it be to port animations in Skyrim's format to Morrowind's format if we found a Skyrim modder who was willing to make animations for us." If SmartBody support is added, that would make thing...
Re: FreeMW
The Example Suite is not dead, but is on hold until the OpenCS is in a more finished state. That's definitely good news! We are going to use the OpenCS entirely instead of reusing anything we've made previously using Bethesda's Construction Set, and so we are obviously not able to do much work on i...
