Re: What tools will OpenMW render obsolete?

Ok so a rough list of what is obsolete, and not (yet): *Morrowind Code Patch *Morrowind EXE Optimizer *Morrowind Graphics Extender (Will openmw have a solution for distant land?) Ones that are up in the air still yet: *Animkit *BSA Registration utility *Morrowind Patch 1.6.5 *GOTY Script Tidy All of...

Re: What tools will OpenMW render obsolete?

We definitely need to make a list of all the tools being buried by openmw so that new players know what they need, confusing.

What tools will OpenMW render obsolete?

I have all these random tools, animkit, bsa registration utility, Morrowind Graphics Extender, etc. So will openmw be able to take on the functions of these tools? needing tools just to deal with BSA's and animations seems kinda decrepit to me, and MGE's functionality could easily be absorbed by ope...

Re: My Eloquent Opinion on MW's Journal

I thought Oblivion's UI was fantastic, myself. Tabs for unfinished quests, finished quests and the currently active quest. It really helped you focus on a specific task and it fit in with the rest of the game, both thematically and control-wise. ^This, the journal is a weak point in a fairly compet...

Re: My Eloquent Opinion on MW's Journal

I love the journal system in Morrowind because it feels like a real journal book I'm flipping through. And yes, a real journal with that much information would be a pain in the ass to go through. But so are a myriad other things in life. Which is why e-readers nowadays have search functions. Really...

Re: My Eloquent Opinion on MW's Journal

I'd like to point out that you haven't given us your suggestion yet in the form of a suggestion. ;) I can infer you want the journal to be better, but a suggestion usually comes with some more concrete ideas behind it. A more organized and useful journal: *Active Quests front and center *Finished Q...

Re: My Eloquent Opinion on MW's Journal

Call me a nostalgia blinded retard but i love MW's journal, because its feel like a real one not just some anticlimatic quest/PDA/GPS log newer TES games have, also expansions made some improvements to filler out entries by quest I don't need quest markers, and the map works well enough, i have no ...

My Eloquent Opinion on MW's Journal

Morrowind's quest journal is bad. Its a mess of mixed pages in no particular order, its hard to find what your doing or what you have done, or what needs to still be done and well basically its one of the main most complaints i have with the game. The reason i suggest this to the OpenMW team to impr...
