Re: Followers of shadows, the day has come!
Been experimenting with some of the other settings I've added to my settings.cfg file over time, and this appears to be part of the problem: [Camera] small feature culling = true small feature culling pixel size = 16.0 viewing distance = 66666 I don't remember why I added this or when, but it was pr...

Re: Followers of shadows, the day has come!
openmw screenshot.jpg Here is an example of what I am seeing. Most of the shadows appear blocky or "chunky." And when they move, which you cannot see here, they look terrible. Shadow maps are set to 3 and increasing shadow map resolution does not seem to have an effect. And just for the r...

Re: Followers of shadows, the day has come!
On my iMac, shadows turned on (actors, player, terrain, & objects on) with all other related settings at default values, the resulting shadows look pretty awful, especially when they move. I'll see about posting some screen shots.

Re: Followers of shadows, the day has come!
My apologies. I was just about to edit my post to say I had figured it out on my own.
Performance hit is pretty significant, and there's lost of flickering in the shadows at the moment, but it's a great start.

MacOS, OpenGL, and OpenMW
Now that OpenGL has been officially deprecated in future versions of MacOS, to be completely replaced by Metal, what will become of the Mac version of OpenMW? Are we going to lose it completely?

Re: OpenTESArena 0.7.0 Released!
Wow, maybe I'll be able to play that game at last! :) I think a lot of other people are thinking the exact same thing. When I first started playing Arena a couple years ago, I was right on the brink of saying "Ehh... this game's too antiquated to bother with", but I decided to power throu...

Re: Do NOT ask Abot about OpenMW compatibility
Well, someone else will have to do it since I'm not allowed to download his mods anymore.

Re: Do NOT ask Abot about OpenMW compatibility
To be fair, I did make an additional response after his threat, which I must assume he thought was an attempt at being smug or snotty. I thought I was being reasonable and polite. Someone should read it and tell me. Maybe I'm an a**hole and just don't know it. On another matter, I am seeing SOME wat...

Re: OpenMW leveled list fixer
It seems to me that having the launcher contain all of the features of a mod manager is such an obvious choice that I'm amazed it's even open for discussion. OpenMW users should be able to install (maybe download) mods, automatically adjust their load order (mlox), merge their levelled lists AND obj...
