Re: OpenMW 0.45.0

It might be a bit late for that already but I can imagine some websites could have combined both news in the same article which would have helped ride the wave and raise a lot of attention. There are non-Morrowind-centric websites that might not find it worthy to talk about the OpenMW 0.45 release b...

Re: Video Capture/Editing Help?

Is writing really not possible to crowdsource? The dialog could be written in a wiki page. Just an idea, though. I honestly have no experience with that. But I have watched videos that claimed to have been done by a group of writters/editors. I expect each taking care of a part of the video. The mos...

Re: Rethinking the Example Suite

What about recreating the fully open source "Waste's Edge" game in the OpenMW engine? Since that game was from the start meant to be open source there would be no legal problems even if the dialog was taken word by word. The music could be reused as well, it has a nice soundtrack. It's a short but w...

Re: Fix The Lady Lover and Steed Birthsigns

the constant effect on the HUD was basically just a nice way of showing why my character started with more of some stat. If it's really bothersome, the solution is to display inherent-like effects in a different way than non-inherent-like effects, not to change how the game mechanics work. I'd vote...

Re: OpenMW’s take on community interaction

We cleaned up a lot of stuff after the fact. We continue to delete posts and clean things up. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Fair enough then, you might have been quite quick. Though had I seen personal attacks like that I (and I hope many others) would have counter-ar...

Re: OpenMW’s take on community interaction

The only thing we ask is that people be reasonable to each other and not make things personal. The also means people trolling other projects as well, just don't do it, it's a dick move. Hence: don't be a dick. I totally agree with that. Yet I can see the point from drummyfish about "dick" (or even ...

Re: OpenMW 0.44.0

I was checking the Windows 64b RC2 build and I cant get to open Vivec's palace lock with a 100 magnitude Open spell set "on Target", it only seems to work when I use a spell made to work "on touch"... is this normal? EDIT: Just noticed this seems to only affect the door to the palace of Vivec, other...

Re: Microsoft Buys Github for $7.5 Billion

Yes, it's sad but your brother is right, most people don't give a crap about open source. That's why it's important for open source projects and their communities to care for it. The day that open source projects start not giving a crap themselves will be the end of the free software movement. Nowad...

Re: Issue #3185 - finding a suitable NPC model

I inquired him about this, just to make sure. His answer was: You would need to develop new animation files, that is true. However, the animation files were never a part of our mod, and our models just used the same ones that came with Morrowind. But because our models and our mod are completely ind...
