Re: OpenMW 0.47.0 Released!

There is no 0.47 32-bit in Ubuntu ppa. :( OpenMW 0.46 is running pretty fine on 32-bit Linux Mint 19.3. Linux Mint 19.3 is still supported. Please, could you make an official 0.47 build for i386? As far as i can see Debian has managed to build 0.47 i386, so could have Ubuntu. It's no time to ditch ...

Re: sources of 3D assets

I'm not active nor playing openmw much, but that's likely the project I truly follow since the most time. Forwarding info here is the least I can do.

Re: sources of 3D assets

Not sure if those links I send help, but, someone on IRC shared a link that you might find interesting: 6 fantasy characters, with 45 animations each, CC-0.

Re: sources of 3D assets

Just found this game . Licensed under GPLv2, it is (or was meant to be, more probably) a medieval FPS. From the official text: OpenFrag is an Open Source, multi-platform game. It plays in a medieval environment where Orcs and Humans fight to the death in a multiplayer session I thought maybe some re...

Re: sources of 3D assets

Well, if they consider it really useful, some admin will pin it :) I'd love to add more items to it, but in the years I follow FOSS games (and sometimes actually hunt them for feeding my dead times  ) I have not found much which have assets that could be of practical use to openmw. Most of them...

Re: sources of 3D assets

Flare resources were built to be reusable by other FOSS projects IIRC. It's a hack'n slash in medieval fantasy settings. OpenDungeons was meant to be a FOSS dungeon keeper. RTS in med-fan settings. Unvanquished is a tactical FPS in SF settings. I think the aliens and some static resources could be r...

sources of 3D assets

Hello. I am not sure this can help, but I thought that maybe a thread listing various sources of 3D assets that could be used in a DFSG compliant project could be useful, thus this thread. I do not know enough about 3D formats and conversion tools toward NIF, but I suppose as long as there is the so...

Re: Using Wesnoth as a basis for Example Suite

Now that I think about it, the unvanquished aliens could be of use, since they does not really use tech. They are nice, they are animated, they are under good license, etc.

I guess I should create a thread for that.

Re: Using Wesnoth as a basis for Example Suite

You made me curious, so I checked... would be the 2nd roguelike I would knew about to *not* use tile-based graphics (when there are some...), the 1st one being egoboo (which have quite "specific" graphics, so, well, I doubt they would be of any use (can't find any repo, but I remember havi...

Re: Using Wesnoth as a basis for Example Suite

For info, I knew at least one rpg game built on top of wesnoth's content and lore: Heroes of Wesnoth . Well, it was far from being complete, 0.1.x are usually alpha/pre-alpha, and this shows up there. I don't think it's still developed either. And it's really based on wesnoth's assets, probably not ...
