Issue 1024 could be "Despite the existence of OpenMW, Oblivion and Skyrim are still more popular than Morrowind" ![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

Re: Moving openmw off zinis github
I think the 193 forks should lead the curious to look at https://github.com/korslund/openmw/network where they'll see zinnschlag in a prominent place.

Re: Issue 1000 Shenanigans
I don't think "priority: high" is warranted.

Re: Saved Games
Which means that retaining said stuff in the save would prevent people from updating their mod, as their "clean saving" attempt would be dirtied by the old references, screwing up the update. Then you'd get mod authors saying "DON'T USE WITH OPENMW" in their readmes. Yeah, pretty...

Re: Saved Games
I don't see much of a point to accommodating the scenario where someone removes a mod, saves, and then add the mod back. If they wanted to keep it, surely they wouldn't have removed it in the first place... Keeping old baggage like this would also be rather unwelcome in most cases anyway -- it'd be ...

Re: Compass
What, so they confuse East and West, and they say to follow the road without saying which road. But it's just part of the verisimilitude! :pWeirdSexy wrote:This, of course, would be an abomination. But Morrowind NPCs do give crappy directions some times.

Re: Compass
Arena had a compass. No quest arrows or POI markers on it, though. Just the geographic directions. Daggerfall had a compass too. In fact, Morrowind is the odd one out here; though the player position arrow serves as a compass needle.

Re: The best from Skyrim to morrowind
I don't like .xwm, it's too Microsofty . You want a good codec for audio, you look at Opus . A higher poly terrain mesh wouldn't be very useful without a landmass overhaul mod. The mesh density will have to remain that of the data files, unless you perform some fancy interpolation. If you look at Sk...

Re: Nehrim and OpenMW
IIRC, Crystal Scrolls was intended to become a generic OpenTES engine in the distant future (after the Morrowind part was completed), but the project is now basically abandoned. I think Project Aedra is also Morrowind-only. I'm not aware of any OpenOblivion projects (or OpenSkyrim, for the matter).

Re: OpenMW FAQ
Please read the whole FAQ from the beginning and you will see that we are repeating ourselves. It's not a problem. Who reads a whole FAQ beginning to end? No one unless they're terribly bored. People will generally jump to the question that seems to be the one most directly answering their issue, a...
