Re: List of (other) FOSS game engine replacement projects

Just wanted to drop this project here, which I think could be of interest to some:

https://github.com/rigred/BattlefieldRespawn

Sadly it is not developed any further at the moment :( , but maybe it comes to life again... :)

Re: OpenMW 0.45.0

Sorry for interrupting the thread (specially if this is not the right place to post this), but is Atahualpa going through all the stages of the release commentary video production alone? If so, I would like to suggest delegating "footage capturing" to other users, so that he can have all the clips ...

Re: Post 1.0 Planning Update

Is there anyone out there who actually likes MWScript? MWScript was so bad mainly because the compiler (from the original CS) sucks and doesn't tell you about some errors. Also it placed unnecessary limits on how you structure yout code. See https://wiki.openmw.org/index.php?title=Features#Scriptin...

Re: Post 1.0 Planning Update

OpenMW wasn't written with dehardcoding in mind from the start, meaning each bit of dehardcoding is going to be an uphill battle, refactoring potentially major parts of the engine if you want to expose things to modders. What is the problem with properly dehardcoding st...

Re: (Solved) Will my savegame corrupt using console commands?

I would recommend to use the "tcl" command to turn off/on the collision in the future. This way you can get unstuck and don't have to teleport somewhere else. ;-)

Re: Collab program testing

If I understand you correctly you are looking for an opensource DAM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_asset_management) system. Here is what I have found: Islandora: http://www.islandora.ca/downloads Razuna: http://www.razuna.org/download ResourceSpace: http://www.resourcespace.org/get Hope that...

Re: New Features for Races

Ability to hide a Race from the PC's character creation system: Allows mod-makers to add new races for their mod/TC AND to restrict those races from the player for story-telling or technical purposes (such as creating a very limited number of compatible armors/weapons). Isn't the "Playable" field i...

Re: OpenMW 0.26.0

I have tried out the generic linux 64 bit package of RC1 on Linux Mint and got this while extracting the data files of Tribunal from a GOTY-DVD (UK English localization): [unshield_reader_read:508] unshield_reader_read start: bytes_left = 0x2, volume_bytes_left = 0x1598 [unshield_reader_read:520] Tr...
