Zooming with mouse wheel in 3rd person view

Post by fraang »

Hi!

I have a little improvement to suggest. It would be nice to be able to zoom with the mouse wheel in 3rd person view. If I remember correctly this was the case in vanilla morrowind. :)

Any thoughts?

EDIT: In the "look around your character" view this is already possible.

I'd love for the 3d person camera to work a lot more like it does in Skyrim personally. In Skyrim, as long as you're not walking/running, you can rotate the camera around your character and if you walk/run while it's rotated you're character will rotate and walk/run in the direction the camera is facing. If you're already walking/running, rotating the camera just moves your character. You can also smoothly zoom in and out with it using the mouse wheel/scroll and this is extremely handy for both exploration, combat, and also just getting nice views of your character. With MGE you can bind your mouse wheel scroll to zoom in and out with the 3d person camera but it's very slow and jerky.

A freecamera (tfw) console command would also be extremely handy.
